Do you need your own lenses put into new frames
Below are some examples of reframes we have been asked to do for customers online over the last few months. The customers own lenses were used and either cut slightly or fitted into our new frames. Prices vary instore as there is a huge choice of Branded and unbranded glasses frames.
Some customers were able to call into store for replacement glasses frames and choose their own frames, whilst others were to far away to make that possible, so they sent the broken glasses to us and we matched up the frames as closely as possible and fitted their own lenses, sending them back through the post. Our online reframes are unbranded and cost £59.95 + a small cutting/fitting charge. We reframe all prescription lenses except sports curved lenses and non prescription lenses.
Below are some pictures of replacement glasses frames we have recently undertaken for customers.
The pictures are taken in our Laboratory and are a little crude but give you the general idea (a picture paints a thousand words). The frames we used to replace the existing broken glasses were actually the same size and width (the camera tends to enlarge the nearer forward frames due to the perspective)
If you have broken full rim/ semi rimless/ or Rimless frames
(excluding Lindberg/Polaris brands) but don't want to buy an expensive complete new pair of glasses we can help. Your existing lenses can serve you for a while longer by having them cut and fitted into one of our new replacement glasses frames.
We have the latest glazing machinery needed to reframe glasses at our Laboratory
and can re-cut and trim, or simply fit your existing lenses including varifocals into one of our new frames.
We have reframed 100's of customers broken glasses frames throughout the Uk, From Scotland, through Manchester and Liverpool, the Midlands, Wales, the Home counties and right down to Devon and Cornwall. We have also been sent many glasses reframes from the London area.
We promise to use care and skill and be careful with your lenses. We cant be responsible for damage to lenses when we are glazing them but in the unlikely event we cause damage we will contact you and come to a mutual agreement of replacement that we are both happy with.
You can either come to store and we'll show you suitable frames to reframe your own lenses into while you wait or you can buy a replacement glasses frame with us online if you live too far away to come to store in person, simply post your broken glasses to us.
If your ordering online you can post your broken glasses direct to us and we'll send them back "reframed". We'll match a frame up as near as possible in style, size and colour (although not identical) to your existing glasses frame and save you money by not having to buy a whole new pair of glasses. The frames we use are a great quality (unbranded). We have a set price for frames we supply online and also charge a small fitting fee which is indicated throughout the ordering process. For Full Rimless glasses the fitting price differs in the ordering process (and you should only send lenses that are already drilled with holes and have previously been fitted to a full rimless frame). A bespoke and newly reframed pair of glasses will wing it's way back to you within a few days instead of throwing old lenses away and spending more on a complete new pair of glasses. Save money and save the environment too!
Note: We don't return the old broken spectacle frames or hard cases due to excess weight so probably best to pack glasses in bubble wrap or similar.

We'll email you as soon as we receive and have reframed your lenses
(if you are not attending store in person)
to let you know they have been sent back out and returned
(please note : To keep costs low we do not return broken frames or cases sent as this would incur higher return postage rates due to weight excess - simply send your broken unusable frames and useable lenses in bubble wrap or similar to us).
