We are authorised to sell all our products and brands. We are a family owned and run business with over 32 genuine years of experience and very successful trading. We have invested in our business and have purchase our Boutique and Laboratory premises and operate the latest state of the art optical glazing machinery for in-store service while you wait and a perfect pair of glasses. We glaze all types of lenses, offer a "reglaze my glasses frames" service in-store and online, and also offer bespoke glasses lens tinting in-store and online. We are specialists in rimless glasses and make our own bespoke shaped specialist rimless glasses in-store. We operate with low overheads with no landlord to pay, and we rent out property around us that we own, meaning we are cost effective as a business and can pass on savings to the consumer and offer equivalent glasses for less on a like for like basis. We pride ourselves in offering great service, a great choice, great prices and expert knowledge. We are eyewear specialists !
Our Back Story goes back well over 30 years
We opened our first Factory Specs glasses outlet in 1991 in Dudley town centre in the West Midlands. We were the original optical factory outlet to sell glasses to the trade and public from our high street locations. We opened our second factory outlet in Ilkeston called Ilkeston Factory Specs Beautiful Affordable Eyewear. Our Ilkeston high street boutique store opened in June 2003 and quickly established a reputation for affordable glasses made to prescription supplied by the customer after an eye tests. We have gone on to be one of the largest authorised designer glasses stockists in the Nottingham, Derby and Leicester areas. We have added too and offer many unique and bespoke services in-store and online including a useful while you wait one hour service for single vision glasses and lenses. We specialise in bespoke lens tinting, offer new frames for broken specs and reglaze customers own glasses frames fitting new prescription lenses instore and offer further discounts on reglaze's online.
