More about buying tinted lenses
We specialise in many different bespoke tint colours and lens coatings. We tint our supplied lenses in-store and can
anti-glare coat lenses too.
Tints can be a solid all over colour in any shade or graduated from dark to light or light to dark, even transitioning from one colour to another, something the chain store opticians don't offer.
Many tints and colours are ideal for sports like fishing, cycling and driving. These tints are added in-house and so can be ready within a few hours included our new single vision lenses.
Glare Resistant Coatings
Blue light lens coatings are ideal for glasses that you may wear when using a computer or any tech device that emits high levels of blue spectrum light that may cause irritation and strain on the eyes. We supply lenses embedded with the Blue-max coating, the latest solution to irritation and protection from this source. These lenses have a slight blue and attractive hue to them which adds to the look of your glasses.
Blue-max lenses offer seamless strain-free vision, with both indoor and outdoor protection against UV and blue-violet light. The embedded technology uses a material formula that absorbs both UV and blue-violet light rays, preventing them from entering the eye. We can have your lenses with this coating within a few days
Anti Glare coated lenses are usually available within 48 hours. The coating has been around a while and been improved to stop smearing to a greater extent than older Anti Glare resistant coatings. This coating has a green hue when the light catches it.

Bespoke Colours & Photochromic Lenses
Night driving yellow tinted glasses are really useful for a safe clearer vision when driving in reduced light conditions, and in bad weather, relaxing the eyes and reducing the eye strain that causes headaches and sore eyes. We can offer this specialised tint applied directly to lenses in our optical laboratory. Yellow tints are also highly fashionable.
React-to-Light photochromic lenses come in Brown and Grey when fully reacted to the sun and UV light and Transitions come in many other colours. These lenses react and get darker with uv (ultra violet light) when outdoors, but lighten to virtually no colour at all when in doors or in lower light conditions or less uv. We supply photochromic and Transition lenses in-store. We also specialise in xtra active Transition lenses that will react behind the car windscreen as worn by professional drivers.
Why Polarised Lenses ?
We supply Polarised lenses in Grey or Brown. Polarised lenses don't change in colour. Polarised lenses are ideal for sports where glare hinders. Fishing, Cycling, Golf, Motorsports and driving, watersports in general and skiing and sailing can all be benefitted by using lenses that are polarised. if you want to cut out glare where the glare is high then consider polarised lenses. The difference and clarity is supreme. Polarised lenses look very similar to regular sunglass lenses.
Is polarisation a coating on the lenses?
Not exactly. Polarising lenses involves a laminated thin lenses being bonded to a prescription lens. The front surface laminated lens has no prescription, but is coloured to block the glare, and also twisted at a certain angle before being mounted to the prescription lens, in such a way that it diverts glare and bounces it off to the side out of the wearers vision.
