Q: Do you do Eye tests ?
A: No, we are an optical laboratory and glasses boutique in Derbyshire. We make glasses for opticians and can offer a wide range of eyewear to you too. You should bring along your eye glasses prescription.
Q: Are you long established ?
A: Good question. Currently we are in our 32nd year of business. We have the know how you need !
Q: Do I need to book an appointment to visit ?
A: Not Before 2:30pm, you can call in without an appointment.
After 2:30pm our boutique is reserved for private store booking only. Designer Glasses are sold within our designer consultation
Q: Do you have trained knowledgeable staff to help me in-store ?
A: Our glasses dispensing staff are very experienced in selling glasses made to all types of prescriptions. We also have trained qualified technicians available who make glasses onsite who can answer any technical questions you may have. Our Senior technician and owner has been making glasses for over 32 years and is always available.
Q: What range of glasses do you stock in-store ?
A: We have one of the biggest ranges of glasses, frame styles and lenses, in the area. We currently stock over 2500 styles ranging from budget to high end luxury and designer glasses, and are authorised stockists of all our glasses and brands. We sell high quality products and brands in every shape and colour you can imagine and pride ourselves on finding you just the right pair of glasses to suit. We sell a huge range of glasses you won't easily find elsewhere at affordable prices.
Q: Are your glasses up to date ?
A: All our glasses in-store are current styles with full authorisation and guarantee's from the manufacturers and brand owners. We don't sell discontinued or old glasses styles.
Q: Are your glasses lenses any good ?
A: We supply many types of branded lenses as well as our own house brands all made to the relevant British Industry standards with over 32 years experience, care and skill.
We supply single vision, bifocal, office readers and varifocal lenses with all coatings needed as well as many other more unusual lenses including ultra thin and glass lenses.
Q: Do you offer guarantee's ?
A: Yes we offer guarantee's with glasses frames and lenses. You can ask in-store or read further on our guarantee's here on this website.
Q: How does your same day glasses - 1 hour service work ?
A: We make some glasses up while you wait. We can supply most standard prescriptions with single vision lenses without extra coatings while you wait.
Q: What are your prices like ?
A: We offer very competitive pricing on all our frames and lenses compared to high street opticians. Our customers tell us our Designer eyewear is often a better price than the chain and multiple and independent opticians they have used in the past.
Q: Do you match internet priced glasses ?
A: As we are not an online business with a different cost base we often don't match online priced glasses but we are not much more expensive and offer more. We are available to offer our experience and advice when buying our glasses as well as to maintain and service the glasses throughout your ownership . We fit your glasses on collection and can refit them as many times as you need over their lifetime, and of course, you can try our glasses on before you buy them to make sure they are right for you.
Q: My frame has broken can you replace it with a new one ?
A: Yes we can with our "put your lenses into new frames" service, we can reshape and fit your own lenses into one of our new frames while you wait in-store or online.
Q: Can you put new prescription lenses into my own glasses frame ?
A: Yes we can with our "Reglaze Glasses" service, just bring in your frames or send them in the post and we will fit your new prescription lenses into it .
Q: Do you tint glasses lenses ?
A: Yes, we offer almost any colour tinting for online and in-store spectacle lenses as well as anti glare coatings in blue or green and also react to light photochromic lenses.
