We can replace and provide new Plano/ Single Vision Distance or Reading/ Bifocal (line seen) or Varifocal (with no line) lenses into your own frames online at the set prices indicated throughout the ordering process. A wider range of lenses are available in-store.
How it works/ How to do it.
Product page:
1: Choose the type of lenses you need. Single Vision Distance/ Single Vision Reading and Near or Varifocal lenses for both distances (and mid range).
2: Choose any lens coatings you might want.
3: Confirm Declaration 2.
4: Decide if you would like to purchase a hard case for return.
Cart:
When you get to your Cart, you'll see there is an option to enter your prescription. Follow this option and tell us your pupil distances and lens heights if you need varifocals. The height is the starting point of the long distance bit of your varifocal lenses, which then changes as it goes downwards to the reading part, passing through a mid range part.
The easiest way to tell us about this height positioning is buy marking an ink dot over you pupil height. To do this simply look into a mirror with your glasses frames on, and set you chin level, not to high or low, just a natural position. Then mark a dot over both pupils with the pen. These dots will also show us the width of your eyes. You can pick the "marked with dots" options when entering your prescription. Then send us a picture of your prescription and go back to your Cart and continue the ordering process.
What to do next:
Send your glasses frames old or new to us at Ilkeston Factory Specs

Be sure not to send in a hard case you want to keep as we don't send these (or old lenses) back.
Simply pack your frames with bubble wrap or cardboard sealed tightly and pop them in the post to us as soon as you can.
As soon as we receive your frames we'll get to work, making you new lenses to your bespoke requirements and fitting them in accordance to your markings or instructions. We endeavour to get you glasses lenses fitted as quickly as possible. This can take a few days to a week or two depending on the type of lenses you need. We'll keep you informed.
